THE SEE ICT Private Sector FORUM

A private sector initiative supported by the Business Advisory Council for South East Europe

With the ICT sector development in South East Europe becoming increasingly dynamic, the Business Advisory Council for South East Europe (BAC for SEE) at his meeting in Tirana (2006) decided to establish a BAC-lead ICT Forum of the Private Sector for South East Europe in order to create an active link between the private sector (multinational and local ICT companies and associations) and the public sector (the governments of the region participating in the Stability Pact’s eSEE Initiative.

The aim of the ICT Forum is to establish a permanent dialogue between the broader private sector ICT community and Stability Pact’s regional initiatives. It provides input to the agenda of the eSEE and bSEE working groups and report to the BAC on its activities for the development of the ICT sector in the region.

The ICT Forum is co-chaired by BAC members Dr. Vassili N.Takas, President of the Southeastern Europe Telecommunications & Informatics Research Institute (INA) and Mr. Goran Radman, Chairman of Microsoft South East Europe.

The inaugural meeting of the ICT Forum was held in the framework of the annual INFOFEST Trade Fair in Budva, Montenegro on September 26, 2006.
