SEE ICT Private Sector Forum

New challenges and opportunities for the South East Europe region will be the key message coming from the 7th SEEITA - 2nd SEE ICT Forum Board Meeting & 6th MASIT Open Days Conference (www.seeita.org),  which will be held between 18-20 November, 2009, in hotel Inex Gorica, Ohrid, Macedonia.

MASIT (Macedonian ICT Chamber of Commerce) is traditionally organizing this conference, through successful gathering of all ICT players in the region, from the private sector, but with strong intention to establish an efficient dialog with all national regulatory bodies from every country participant as well. Every year the Conference has over 180 participants from over 15 SE Europe countries.

The objective of SEEITA, SEE ICT Forum and MASIT Open Days is to foster regional cooperation and competitiveness in ICT, and to act as a platform for professionals, buyers and providers to meet and discuss challenges relevant to the industry, and build linkages. This year the Conference is focusing on Electronic Communications and Broadband technologies, the key driver towards successful ICT markets.

Moreover, this year the 2nd SEE ICT Forum Board (www.seeictforum.org) will try to put special accent on its priorities concluded on a SEE regional level. Topics that will certainly be covered are promotion of “SEE IT” Brand, eSEE, creation of Public Private Partnerships and Dialog i.e., the establishment of Centers of Excellence or Competence Centers, Public procurement policies and last but not least is the initiative for appointing National Contact Points (NCPs), whose responsibility will be providing links between the private sector ICT associations and the Governments in their respective countries.

SEEITA-SEE ICT Forum Board & MASIT Open Days & Nights Conference offers a unique opportunity to network and forge regional ties with ICT players from the SEE Region. The participants will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights on regional business trends, socio-economics and current regional issues from some of the most prominent and respected regional personalities in ICT industry and gain a first-hand perspective of regional industry players’ stand on current issues relevant to ICT.
